AMERICAN STANDARD 'American Standard'’ is a short story about a troubled young American soldier who returns from military service in Afghanistan with PTSD, and his undocumented fiance wrestling with her own struggles with the US immigration system. He grows convinced that his love is using him to gain citizenship, unleashing a wave of trauma and paranoia.'American Standard' stars Sgt. Marco Reininger who acted in the film before heading back to Afghanistan, where he is now serving his third tour. The film is stylishly shot in black and white by Ed Keating, who won a Pulitzer prize for his photographs of 9/11.RUN TIME: 15:00 minutesFESTIVAL RUN TBD

CREW DAVID HENRY GERSON (Writer/Director) is a New York based actor and filmmaker. His short film, 'Ultra Violet for Sixteen Minutes,' played at the 2011 Slamdance Film Festival, at the Pompidou Museum in Paris, and is in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York. As an actor he has worked on television and film, most recently with Al Pacino in David Mamet's Phil Spector Biopic.
